A Bit of Background
Here at Leesville Tri-M Music Honor Society, we are driven by goals to serve our community through music and spark leadership.
The Tri-M® Music Honor Society is NAfME’s international honor society for middle/junior-high and high school students. This National Association for Music Education (NAfME) program recognizes students for their academic and musical achievements, rewards them for their accomplishments and service activities, and inspires other students to excel at music and leadership.
Purpose
The purpose of this chapter will be to:
• Recognizing the musical achievements of our members
• Improve our school’s music program
• Work together to help members reach their full musical potential
• Encourage and recognize our members’ musical and personal achievements, grades, and credits
• Work together to reach the same goal
• Inspire and challenge our members
• Focus the public's attention on our school’s music program through community service
BYLAWS
The responsibilities of membership include
Maintaining a 3.5 unweighted GPA in all classes
Performing continuing service to the community
Participating in either the highest orchestra, band or chorus music class for at least one school year
Maintaining an exemplary character
It is expected of all members to pay fees that cover the cost of your induction and graduation cords
Service hours are required as part of membership in the club. All community service performed for Tri-M must be related to music.
